Question:
Are blondes in northern Spain related to southern Germans?
2010-07-28 15:28:25 UTC
The reason why there are a lot of blondes in northern Spain is because various Germanic tribes (like the Vandals and the Visigoths) invaded the Iberian Peninsula long ago and ruled it for hundreds of years. The northern areas of Iberia were ruled by these Germanic tribes for even longer because these areas were not reached or controlled by the Moors.

So because tribes like the Visigoths and the Vandals were originally from what is today Germany (to be specific, the southern German province of Bavaria), could it be that all the blonde people of northern Spain (the descendants of the Visigoths and Vandals) are genetically related to southern Germans?

It´s probably our friendly troll in another guise. Hey!

Have you ever thought that it is a fact the Vikings travelled to the Mediterranean and attacked Spain and Portugal.?

Bet they stopped off on the way!

This category is about TRAVEL. Do you plan to travel to Spain? Cause, you know, whether blondes are related to this group or that group probably shouldn't be the basis of your decision.

And most of the blonds in Spain are of CELTIC descent, as you have been told, and told, and told.

BTW, as you also have been told, most Germans are DARK HAIRED.

Your question is more than likely incorrect. I think you should go back to school and touch up on your history.
